[Well, he was promised a date under the cherry blossoms. So after hiding himself away for the early part of the morning, he reappears in front of Sorey's door and knocks.]
I'm ready when you are.
[He's lasted much longer than anyone will give him credit for, but that doesn't mean he can't drive Sorey a little crazy in the process. He's not wearing a naked maid outfit though (sadly). He's wearing a more traditional cherry blossom pink kimono, and he has pink and blue dangling kanzashi pinned into his hair. It's started to get a little long and curly and he can't decide if he wants to keep growing it out, so... compromise.]
[Sorey doesn't mind waiting, to be fair. He's spent his morning trying to calm his nerves. He hasn't felt this nervously excited since his first date with his ex. Hopefully, this one turns out with them clicking as a couple, but he'll still be happy to have Mikleo as a friend!
He gets himself dressed in a kimono of his own. It's simple and hopefully doesn't clash with Mikleo's, if he decides to wear one. The only accessories Sorey has on are his feather earrings, which he's taken to wearing on the regular anyway. It just feels right.
The brunet opens the door when he hears a knock at his room's door, and... stares... at Mikleo for a solid second or two. Then, Sorey remembers where he is and grins brightly.]
You look gorgeous!
[THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT TO SAY, OKAY!!!]
It's a good thing I'm ready, then. Shall we, Mikki?
[Mikleo brightens when Sorey appears. As usual, it seems they had the same idea. Sorey is so cute with his earrings, though. Mikleo is about to say something when the compliment comes out, and he blushes hard.] I-it just seemed appropriate.
You look very handsome yourself, Sorey. [He reaches up to touch one of those earrings and perhaps rub Sorey's cheek affectionately, and then he lets go.]
I used to dread hearing my old name, but when you use it, I can't help but smile. [He lays a gentle hand on Sorey's arm.] How silly is that?
[Sorey grins happily at getting a blush from his partner. This feels right and familiar. Of course, he blushes himself when Mikleo touches an earring and brush against his cheek. Coupled with that handsome compliment? The brunet can only conclude that he's got it bad for Mikleo.]
It's not silly at all. [His expression softens and he takes Mikleo's hand, kissing the back of it briefly if a little teasingly.] I think it just speaks to how you feel around me. I'm glad that you like me calling you Mikki, honestly. It's a cute nickname that suits you.
[Mikleo has it pretty bad for him, so the feeling is mutual. He's... certainly not expecting Sorey to take his hand like a gentleman and kiss it though. Mikleo goes from pink to red instantly. He almost doesn't hear what the brunet is saying, he's still stumbling a bit mentally.]
M—maybe you just make people want to trust you. [He clears his throat.] It certainly worked on me.
[He steps back and tries to tug Sorey with him. There's no real force to it, but he's just realized he wants to kiss Sorey very badly, and if he starts, he won't want to leave.]
Is there anything we should pack before we leave? [It was Sorey's idea, so he's not sure of the full scope of his plans.]
[Sorey smiles and allows himself to be tugged along.]
Oh, no, I managed to pack everything up in a picnic basket! I felt bad asking you to bake for today, so I bought some mochi and dango for dessert.
[He heads over to the kitchen to pick up the basket, which also has a blanket neatly folded inside it. Clearly, the brunet has gone all out to make this a proper picnic lunch!]
You know I would have gladly done it. [He'd pinch Sorey, but he's secretly glad. Mochi and dango is never a bad idea. When he sees the nicely-packed basket, though, he feels a little... Are those butterflies? Good lord, he's 28.
Ah, Sorey asked a question.]
I didn't realize flying was an option. [His hair might get messed up, but... worth it.] Would there be room on your back for me?
[For Mikleo, it's important to remind his Shepherd that though he might have the form of a dragon, he's still every bit the Sorey that Mikleo knows and loves.]
Haha, I know, but I didn't want you to work for our date when I was the one to ask you out.
[Sorey grins. He appreciates Mikleo making sure he knows he's still human and okay, that being a dragon isn't hurting the seraph.]
There should be, but I'm hardly one to judge by my own perspective. You could hang out in my body while I carry the basket, though, if you don't feel too safe there.
[Mikleo will never hesitate. Not when it comes to Sorey. He has every intent of cuddling the hell out of his dragon boyfriend on the flight over there.]
I think it'll be fine.
[He makes sure he has the keys and the door is ready to be locked when they step out-- but before they get into the hallway, Mikleo stands on his very tiptoes and leans in to give Sorey a kiss on the cheek. He deserves it for all the hard work he's put in lately.]
[Sorey sounds affectionate when he says that, though. He definitely appreciates all of Mikleo's efforts to help him feel human again after work, among other situations.
There's a slight dusting of pink across his cheeks when Mikleo kisses his cheek. However, his smile is both shy and delighted. He nods, and locks the door behind them before leaving with Mikleo. Once outside, he hands the basket over to his partner and steps away from any cars he could potentially damage on accident. It's a bit tricky, but he finds a good spot and transforms into his dragon form. Sorey shakes his body like a dog before lying down and looking over at Mikleo.]
[Aaaand there are those butterflies again. It's definitely not because of that term of endearment, nope.]
That doesn't sound like a complaint.
[He takes the basket carefully. After a moment of consideration, he just... does the seraph hammerspace thing and disappears the thing up his sleeves. He wants his hands free.
He gives Sorey plenty of space. Watching him turn into a dragon never really gets old; there's something more gentle about it than the awful tortured transformations from their old lives. The whole body shake is especially adorable.
Mikleo approaches with a soft, fond smile. With gentle hands and a surprising amount of grace, he climbs onto Sorey's back and slips his arms about his neck.]
You're always so beautiful.
[He shifts a little so he can hold onto something more substantial with at least one hand, but the other continues making slow circles over his scales.]
I could never be afraid—not in a million years. I hope you know that.
[And to accentuate his point, he peppers a few strawberry lip gloss kisses along the ridge of Sorey's neck.]
